Home energy management on the P1 port of the smart meter. The hardware of the EVSE-SC-02 with its own firmware: it measures the home on a DSMR 5 meter, shows it on a dashboard and gives an energy report after three months (best after a year). It monitors only; it controls nothing. For households € 150 incl. VAT, excl. shipping.

## Specifications

| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Hardware | That of the EVSE-SC-02 Edge Smart Load Balancer; a separate product with its own firmware |
| Measurement | P1 port of a DSMR 5.0 / ESMR 5.0 smart meter (Netherlands, Belgium): import and export per phase, voltage and current per phase, gas where the meter reports it |
| Dashboard | For the household: consumption, solar export, peaks per phase and costs, from the first day |
| Energy report | After at least 3 months, best after a year (all seasons). Includes the systems already in the home (solar, heat pump, heating, battery, charger) and advises how to lower costs and how to be more sustainable |
| Control | None: it monitors only. Control of EdgeTech chargers is possible with a subscription; other equipment over Modbus or a relay case by case, never promised in advance |
| After the first period | There will be an optional subscription for the dashboard and new reports; it never renews by itself. Without a subscription the device keeps working, but the dashboard stops and there is no support |
| Connectivity | WiFi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, 2.4 GHz only; MQTT over TLS with a per-device pre-shared key |
| Supply | From the P1 port (meter must supply ≥ 250 mA) or 5 V via micro-USB |
| Dimensions | 88 × 90 × 25 mm, next to the meter; plugs in without an electrician |
| Purchase | Bought, not rented. Returned within the legal 14-day withdrawal period: money back. After that it is yours, nothing to return |

## Questions

**How is it different from the EVSE-SC-02?**

Same hardware, different firmware. The EVSE-SC-02 balances chargers. The HEMS-00 also measures and explains the whole home, has a dashboard and an energy report. It monitors only and controls nothing.

**Can I just keep the dashboard?**

Yes. Some households only want to see what their home does. That is fine; the report is there when you want it.

**How long before I get advice?**

At least three months for a first report, for those who want to decide quickly. A full year gives the best advice, because it covers summer and winter.
