Cable lock driver
Drives the lock of a Type 2 charge socket from the charge controller's lock command, with position feedback. Reserve capacitors keep enough energy on board to release the lock after a power failure, so a car is never held on a dead charger.

In short
A small driver board between the charge controller and the lock of a Type 2 charge socket. The EVSE-C-3x32A gives the lock command; the cable lock driver turns it into a motor drive in the right direction, reads back whether the lock is open or closed and reports that to the controller.
The board stores energy in three reserve capacitors. If the supply fails while a cable is locked in, there is still enough energy to release the lock, so the car is never held on a charger without power.

Key facts
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Function | Locks and unlocks the charge-socket lock actuator on command of the charge controller and reports its position |
| Controller connection | P1, 3-pin: lock signal, +12 V and GND from the lock port of the EVSE-C-3x32A |
| Lock connection | J3, 4-pole push-in terminal with levers: actuator drive (both directions) and position feedback |
| Power-failure release | 3 × 2200 µF reserve capacitors keep enough energy to release the lock after loss of supply |
| Dimensions | Board 122 × 22.5 mm; tallest parts 20 mm above the board; keep 4 mm free below; no mounting holes, held by its edges |
| Wiring clearance | Leave 20 mm above P1 and above J3 for the plug, the wires and opening the levers |
| Lock compatibility | Socket lock actuators differ. We test each locking mechanism before supply: tell us which socket and lock you use |
| Control over Modbus | Through the charge controller: lock state in register 0x0010, lock with 0x0015, unlock with 0x0016; lock behaviour set by bit 1 of the settings (0x0204) |
